FSA fines reporting

Many of the financial pages in today's Press carry articles relating to the Financial Services Authority imposing a £700,000 fine on 'Vantage' (see http://www.fsa.gov.uk/pages/Library/Communication/PR/2010/103.shtml). For the sake of clarification and reporting accuracy, the company in question is Vantage Capital Markets Ltd and has nothing to do with Vantage Insurance Services Ltd.

The Financial Services Authority recently imposed a £78,000 fine and a ban on Shield Insurance Consultancy Ltd (see http://www.fsa.gov.uk/pubs/final/shield_delwyn_way.pdf). Again, for the avoidance of doubt, we would like to make it clear that this company has no connection whatsoever to Vantage Insurance Services Ltd or its subsidiary brand; Shield Total Insurance.

Vantage purchase Crusader Insurance
