History

April 2010 - Vantage moved it's headquarters in the City of London to a larger office to provide better accommodation for it's London staff and to cater for future expansion.

December 2009 - Vantage relocated its customer service centre to a new office in Brentwood, Essex. The office enjoys the fastest fibre optic internet capability and has been specifically designed to be an insurance operations centre to deliver the highest level of customer service. It employs circa 40 people.

April 2009 - Vantage purchased Crusader Insurance (www.crusaderinsurance.co.uk) from Lowdhams Leisureworld. Crusader Insurance are a well-established caravan insurance broker with awards for both their insurance policies and friendly, experienced call centre.

31st December 2008 - the management team of Vantage successfully acquired Kerry London’s 51% share in Vantage Insurance Services Limited. The management and staff now own 100%.

November 2007 - Vantage purchased the business of Shield Total Insurance (www.shieldtotalinsurance.co.uk) from IGI Insurance. Shield specialises in Caravan and Motorhome insurance and this acquisition has helped Vantage to diversify its distribution channels and increase its presence in the caravan and mobile leisure sector.

October 2007 - Vantage’s specialist Motorhome division went live in Brentwood, Essex. This followed the decision to bring in-house the provision of Motorhome insurance that had previously been outsourced. This entailed setting up an office in Brentwood, Essex recruiting experience staff, and developing a computer system that could provide quotations and policy documentation to the customers, and also deliver the management information required by the carrier and ourselves. To date this division has surpassed both our own and our affinity partners expectations.

February 2007 - Vantage launched its own brand 4site Insurance (www.4siteinsurance.co.uk) at the NEC in Birmingham.  This successful venture now provides “business to business” insurance-led solutions to the outdoor leisure industry

16th August 2006 - Vantage acquired the business of Cork Bays & Fisher (www.corkbaysfisher.co.uk) CB&F from Aon. CB&F specialised in travel bonds, tour operator’s liability and associated insurance products. This acquisition of the CB&F business complemented our own tour operator’s account and firmly established Vantage as a leading provider of insurance to the travel and leisure sector.

1st July 2005 - the company was renamed Vantage Insurance Services Limited.

31st December 2004 - the company was purchased by its management and staff, with Kerry London.

2002 - a joint venture with Niche Insurance Services Ltd was secured for Imaging Insurance (www.imaginginsurance.co.uk), a specialist insurance for image makers and journalists.

1999 - an affinity partnership with The Camping and Caravanning Club saw the introduction of a range of comprehensive Club Care Insurance (www.clubcareinsurance.co.uk) schemes offered exclusively to Club members.

1999 - the company started as a Service Company for a Lloyd’s of London Syndicate.
