In November 2007 Vantage purchased the business of Shield from IGI. Shield specialises in Caravan and Motorhome insurance and this acquisition has helped Vantage to diversify its distribution channels and increase our presence in the caravan and mobile leisure sector.
In October 2007 Vantage’s specialist Motorhome division went live Brentwood Essex. This followed the decision bring in-house the provision of Motorhome insurance that had previously been outsourced. This entailed setting up an office in Brentwood Essex recruiting experience staff, and developing a computer system that could provide quotations and policy documentation to the customers, and also deliver the management information required by the carrier and ourselves. To date this division has surpassed both our own and our affinity partners expectations
In April 2007 Lowdham Leisure World of Nottingham appointed Vantage as their Broker for their Caravan & Motorhome insurance under the brand name of Crusader.
In February 2007 at the NEC in Birmingham Vantage launched its own brand ‘4site’ www.4siteinsurance.co.uk as a quick and easy to use website for various caravan products.
On 16th August 2006 Vantage acquired the business of Cork Bays & Fisher (CB&F) from Aon. CB&F specialised in tour operator’s liability & associated insurance products and travel bonds. This acquisition of the CB&F business complemented our own tour operator’s account and firmly established Vantage as a leading provider of insurance to the travel and leisure sector.
On 1st July 2005 the company was renamed Vantage Insurance Services Limited.
On the 31st December 2004 the company was purchased by its management and staff with Kerry London who own 51% of the company’s shares. The company started in 1999 as a Service Company for a Lloyd’s of London Syndicate.
